National Center for E-Learning Memorandum
The National eLearning Center and the Asir Development Authority signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today in Riyadh to grant the authority access to “Shared Resources” via the FutureX national eLearning platform. The Shared Resources initiative aims to facilitate resource exchange among various entities, accelerating the adoption of eLearning across different sectors.
The Asir Development Authority was represented by Dr. Amr Al-Omari, Deputy CEO for Operations, while the National eLearning Center was represented by Dr. Hajar Bin Asfour, Deputy Director-General for the Enablement Sector. The scope of cooperation includes enabling the Asir Development Authority to access Shared Resources via the FutureX platform, including a repository of reusable eLearning content, open educational resources, subscriptions to local and international courses, and Microsite sub-platforms.
Additionally, it includes various services, such as academic guidance, learning analytics, issuance of digital certificates, and AI-powered eLearning tools. It is worth noting that the signing of this MoU is part of the Authority’s efforts to enhance collaboration with various government entities, develop employee capabilities, and diversify learning resources. Meanwhile, the National eLearning Center aims to strengthen cooperation and integration among entities, sectors, and interdisciplinary fields, as well as to accelerate, coordinate, and regulate the development of a flexible, responsive, and collaborative learning ecosystem that meets evolving needs
