The Aseer region has two public universities in the city of Abha and Bisha, as well as two private colleges. The General Administration of Technical and Vocational Training in the Aseer region is preparing its students for the labor market through 88 training facilities, including 36 government training facilities, 11 technical colleges for boys, 7 colleges for girls, 3 branches of technical colleges for boys, 10 industrial and secondary institutes, 5 vocational institutes in prisons, and 52 private training facilities.

There are approximately 101,226 government sector employees and 313,997 private sector employees in Aseer. Unemployment rate in the region is currently estimated at 17%. The strategy aims to reduce this percentage significantly.
